As I mentioned just before Christmas, I had a feeling I wouldn’t be able to read much of what’s been said over the last fortnight. That was confirmed to me when I got home and saw 993 Unread Posts.
I think I need to start trimming blogs from my daily reading. Anyway, it’s full of cobwebs back here. I’m sure I’ll be back properly within a few days.
Welcome to 2009 – I hope yours is happy and prosperous!

This is why I stopped using a reader as soon as I started. They turn reading interesting posts into an obligation and a chore and mechanise what should be a pastime rather than a process.
I just use my blogroll to keep up to date with my favourite bloggers.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I like being able to keep track of all the stuff I read regularly. A lot of the feeds I keep in there are not necessary for my continued existance – a large proportion of them can be dealt with with a swift click on the ‘Mark All As Read’ button.
I find it useful when I’m out and about that I can just grab my phone and always have something new and interesting to read. That makes it a pastime for me.
To each his own, though!

Take all the shite blogs like Dizzy “Thinks” and Coffee House off your list. That’s half the problem solved.
