Rifle Sights Inscribed With Biblical Quotations

Under the truly awesome headline ‘If thy rifle scope offends thee, pluck it out’, the Bad Astronomy blog tells the story of a number of American rifle sights which have had biblical quotations inscribed upon them by the manufacturer.

Weinstein says that “…commanders have referred to weapons with the sights as ’spiritually transformed firearm[s] of Jesus Christ.’”

They’ve now been forced to stop inscribing them, and provide kits to remove inscriptions from existing scopes.

Also in that second link is the news that the head of the British company which made millions selling utterly worthless ‘bomb-detecting’ equipment at £60,000 a pop, as blogged about by Unity a while back, has been arrested for suspicion of fraud. Which is good to know.
